​​Daoud Tyler-Ameen is a features editor at NPR Music, a multi-platform team of journalists inside National Public Radio, where he assigns and edits essays, interviews and reporting on contemporary music and culture. He is also a writer and broadcaster, creating stories and conversations about how art and performance help people figure out who they are, or would like to be. For love, he makes songs in the guitar-pop bands Bad Moves and Art Sorority. He is a born-and-bred New Yorker living in Washington, D.C.
