I know, it's a lot of vowels. (If you can say "Raoul," you're halfway there.)

I'm a writer, editor, broadcaster and musician from New York City, currently based in Washington, D.C., named after a biblical hero, an Eastern religion and a jazz song. I make internet and radio for NPR's Music and Arts desks, with a focus on how art and performance help people figure out who they are or who they'd like to be. For love, I make guitar pop with too many words. My favorite assignment ever is this conversation about empathy, and my favorite song I've written is this one about work.
